Phase Controlled Single Phase Half Wave Rectifier

The Phase controlled Single Phase Half Wave Rectifier is shown in the figure below. An AC source of 220 V, 50 Hz is connected to a Thyristor, THY1, which is triggered at an angle of 0°. The current through the load, I1, is measured by an ammeter and the voltage across the load, VP1, is measured using a voltmeter. The load is purely resistive of value 10 Ω.
